Eurochambers of Ecuador, formed by the binational chambers of commerce of Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, and Spain, is an association that seeks to manage joint projects and support the relationship between the European Union and the Andean country.

Ecuadorian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce

CONTRIBUTION OF THE CHAMBER IN THE COUNTRY
The German Chamber has been promoting commercial exchange between Germany and Ecuador for more than 40 years. It offers to its partners and strategic allies, face-to-face and digital corporate services, leading projects with an international scope. It is also a bridge to generate business opportunities and alliances with the German business community as a key partner in digitalization for their projects.
COUNTRY'S CONTRIBUTION IN IMPORTS AND EXPORTS
Germany is Ecuador's main trading partner in the European Union. Bananas represent more than 50% of exports to the German market, tuna (10.5%), coffee (8.3%), and cocoa (8%). German products represent an average of 2.45 % of Ecuador's imports. Currently, the German market continues to be the main European trading partner for Ecuadorian products.

Ecuadorian-British Chamber of Commerce and Industry

CONTRIBUTION OF THE CHAMBER IN THE COUNTRY
The Ecuadorian-British Chamber of Industry and Commerce is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote trade, investment, and cultural and educational relations between companies, governments, and institutions of Ecuador and the United Kingdom. Since its foundation in 1988, it has strengthened and promoted bilateral relations between both countries, working as part of the British Group Ecuador, formed by the British Embassy, the British Binational Chambers of Quito and Guayaquil and The British School.
COUNTRY'S CONTRIBUTION IN IMPORTS AND EXPORTS
Following its exit from the European Union and recognizing the Andean Community as an important trading partner with the potential to increase and diversify the trade and investment relationship, the United Kingdom has ensured continuity in its relationship through the new Trade Agreement, signed in 2019 and entered into force (with Ecuador and Peru) from 1 January 2021, which aims to provide certainty to companies and avoid any disruption to trade once the transition period is over.

Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce of Ecuador

CONTRIBUTION OF THE CHAMBER IN THE COUNTRY
The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce of Ecuador was founded on December 21st in 1920, being the dean of the Binational Chambers in the country. It is a non-profit organization that promotes commercial exchange between Spain and Ecuador and supports the internationalization of Spanish companies with the appropriate information for their establishment in Ecuador. It collaborates closely with the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Ecuador.
COUNTRY'S CONTRIBUTION IN IMPORTS AND EXPORTS
In the first four months of the year, Spanish exports to Ecuador have grown by 9.25%, which shows that the economy is starting to become more dynamic. On the other hand, exports from Ecuador to Spain have decreased by 28%, and are expected to recover in the coming months. Spanish investment in Ecuador is 1,931 million euros, among the main areas, include: telecommunications, oil, food industry, among others.

CONTRIBUTION OF THE CHAMBER IN THE COUNTRY
The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Quito is a non-political non-profit organization. Its objective is to encourage and promote the development, as well as the maintenance of commercial, economic, technological, industrial, and tourist relations between Spain and Ecuador. The institution is a consultative and collaborating body of the Spanish administration, which has more than 30 years of experience operating in the capital city.
COUNTRY'S CONTRIBUTION IN IMPORTS AND EXPORTS
Spain is one of the main foreign investors, becoming the second-largest for Ecuador. The main investment sectors are: extraction of crude oil, and natural gas, commercial distribution, manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products, telecommunications, and the food industry. Investments for Ecuador represent an opportunity for internal economic development, generation of direct jobs, and growth for indirect jobs.

French-Ecuadorian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCIFEC)

CONTRIBUTION OF THE CHAMBER IN THE COUNTRY
A non-profit association under private law, the French-Ecuadorian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCIFEC) was founded in 1989 by the French company Total and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2019. Its mission is to encourage and support the French-Ecuadorian business community and to make available to this community the necessary tools to develop its commercial and business activities.
COUNTRY'S CONTRIBUTION IN IMPORTS AND EXPORTS
An investment stock of around 200 million dollars in 2017. France has positioned itself as the third-largest European investor in the last 15 years (after Spain and Germany). Our bilateral relations have evolved considerably, especially since the signing of the trade agreement between France and Ecuador (in 2017), for example, exports from France to Ecuador increased by almost 30%.

Ecuadorian-Italian Binational Chamber of Commerce (CBEI)

CONTRIBUTION OF THE CHAMBER IN THE COUNTRY
The Ecuadorian-Italian Binational Chamber of Commerce (CBEI) is a private non-profit organization with a clear objective: to strengthen and energize the commercial, industrial and cultural relationship between the Republic of Ecuador and the Republic of Italy. The affiliated companies are in the ranking of the 500 largest companies in Ecuador, representing together annual sales of over USD 2972 million and a generation of about 20 thousand direct jobs and 100 thousand sources of indirect employment.
COUNTRY'S CONTRIBUTION IN IMPORTS AND EXPORTS
Italy is a strategic trade partner for Ecuador, being one of the main destinations within the European Union for Ecuadorian products, its position as a destination compared to other EU countries has been enhanced after the signing of the MTA, going from 4th place in the ranking to reach 1st place in 2019 or 2nd so far in 2021. Similarly, the characteristics of the products imported from this country, which are mainly capital goods and inputs for our industries, enhance the competitiveness and productivity of the Ecuadorian industry.

Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ecuador

CONTRIBUTION OF THE CHAMBER IN THE COUNTRY
The Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ecuador is part of ASSOCAMERESTERO, the network of Italian Chambers of Commerce in the World. Its main objectives are:
  1. To favor the increase of commercial exchange between Italy and Ecuador through various technological modalities.
  2. Promote Made in Italy, in Ecuador (Webinars, B2Bs, etc.)
  3. Promote Italian investment in infrastructure projects in Ecuador by accompanying interested Italian companies.
  4. Consolidate the Italian commercial system present in the country by expanding its diffusion through new partners and Ad Hoc social networks.
  5. To encourage and support the cultural and educational exchange between Italy and Ecuador by joining the efforts of all the entities that are part of Sistema Italia.
COUNTRY'S CONTRIBUTION IN IMPORTS AND EXPORTS
The import and export panorama seen by Ecuador places Italy in third place in exports, with a clear upward trend, and fourth place in imports of products, with a downward trend. The most exported products are: shrimp, bananas, canned tuna, flowers, cocoa, hats. The most imported products are: capital goods, machinery, medicines, tiles, food, oil, pumps, and refrigeration equipment.

Chamber of Industries, Commerce and Services Ecuadorian Switzerland

CONTRIBUTION OF THE CHAMBER IN THE COUNTRY
The Ecuadorian-Swiss Chamber of Industry, Commerce, and Services focuses its work on strengthening and promoting trade relations between Switzerland and Ecuador. Following the signing and entry into force of the EFTA agreement between Switzerland and Ecuador, this Chamber focuses its efforts on reviving the country's economy, allowing companies from both nations to be part of it through the transfer of knowledge, technology, and values in the field of business. The commitment of the Swisscham Ecuador is to establish appropriate synergies among its members to promote a solid and innovative business action and communication to achieve better levels of production and employment.
COUNTRY'S CONTRIBUTION IN IMPORTS AND EXPORTS
In 2020, total exports to Switzerland reached USD 150 thousand. The main export categories were: natural or cultured pearls, precious or semiprecious stones, precious metals plated with metals, which totaled a value of USD 141 thousand, followed by "living trees and other plants" which totaled USD 8 thousand in exports. Ecuador imported from Switzerland, in 2020, a total of USD 89 thousand, being the main import item the category of "pharmaceuticals" which reached a total of USD 38 thousand, followed by "machinery and mechanical appliances" which totaled USD 8 thousand dollars.  The total Foreign Direct Investment from Switzerland in 2020 was USD 45 thousand.
